Cascadable passive tap designed for complex distribution systems. Tap outputs are galvanicly isolated from trunklines and should be connected to the inputs of a satellite multi-switch. The inputs of the first tap in a cascade should be connected to the outputs of the amplifier. The next tap can then be connected to the trunk outputs of the first one.
In all it is possible to connect up to 10 units in series in a cascade provided they are connected to each other directly. If the units are connected to each other by means of a coaxial cable, it is only possible to connect a lower number of them. The number depends on the quality of the connectors and coaxial cable used, in particular on its return loss.
Trunk outputs of the last unit in the cascade must be terminated by a 75 ohm resistor. The units are stackable onto the top of each other.
