All you need to pick up French language TV and radio in the UK is one of our satellite TV systems incorporating a satellite dish and a set top box. The dish is directed to the appropriate satellite(s) to receive the channels of your choice.
Where does the dish go?
A south-facing wall is the perfect installation site because all satellite signals can be received although east and west facing walls can receive selected satellites. Do not worry, however, if you do not have a wall facing the correct way; the satellite dish may be raised above the roof line or installed discreetly in the garden. Non-standard installations will incur an additional cost.
Don't they use a different TV system in France?
The French TV standard for channels received via an aerial is SECAM. In the UK our equivalent TV standard is PAL. Channels received via satellite, however, use the same standard throughout Europe known as Digital Video Broadcasting (DVB) so there will be TV no compatibility problems with the system you choose.
What if I already have (or want) Sky?
No problem - you can have two separate dishes or choose one of our Frontier dish systems which allow the simultaneous reception of multiple satellites. As an Authorised Sky Agent we can arrange any aspect of a Sky system including Sky+ and Sky HD.
What about radio channels?
You can listen to the channels through your TV as radio channels are broadcast alongside the TV channels via satellite. You do not need a special radio or hi-fi system.
How can I find out what's on the channels?
The website www.tvtv.fr provides an on-line listings service for French channels
What if I want French TV in more than 1 room?
There are two options: a set top box in each room you want to watch TV, or a cable between rooms allowing you to share the set top box from the main location. With a set top box in each room you can watch different channels in each room; with a cable between the rooms you must watch the same channel in each room. Neither of these options will affect the viewing of your existing channels in either room.
Where can I find the complete list of available French channels?
We can arrange monthly repayments over 2, 3 or 4 years. Please ask for written details.
